EATING HABITS

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR EFT

1.  First rate intensity of problem  from 0 to having no problem to 10 having an intense problem. So if your issue feels pretty bad it may be between 7 and 10.  But let a number come up for you. Eg: close your eyes and say to yourself, “I have no control over how much I eat”, and ask yourself how strong that feeling is.  Wait for a number to appear and go with it.

2. THE SETUP: Tap the sides of both your hands together (the karate chop) continuously whilst reciting the following 3 times:
Even though I have no control over how much I eat, I deeply and completely accept myself. 

3. THE SEQUENCE
Tap about 7 times on each of the following energy points
while repeating the Reminder Phrase at each point.
(The reminder phrase is a shortened  version of step 2
e.g.: no control over how much I eat)

1.Top of the Head (Crown)
2.Start of eyebrow
3.Outside of eye socket
4.Under eye socket
5.Under nose
6.Between mouth and chin
7.Just under the collar bone
8.Under arm in line with chest
9.Directly below breast on the rib cage
10.     Side of Hand again

When you have finished check what the intensity is now.

If your intensity is not zero repeat from the beginning at the “setup”, but this time add into the affirmation “still” or “remaining” Eg:  Even though I still have no control over how much I eat.

Then try another round starting from the beginnng...
Even though I have no control over what I eat
and
Even though I have no control over when I eat
At first it may seem confusing to use these negative statements after being advised to use positive statements.  EFT uses the negative statements for a reason. 

Often when we are saying a positive statement our emotional voice will cry out, “That is not true, I have no control!”  EFT makes you acknowledge that up front so there is no argument.

By tapping the following meridian points you shift the energy and unblock the negative emotions surrounding them. 

EFT can be done several different ways.  This is the  quick, fast and easy way which is just as effective as the original long version.

Try using it on sugar cravings and other issues you feel you have with your weight.  You will just replace the Even though I have no control over how much I eat with - Even though I crave sugar.
